Since we have entered a technology age, it isn’t a complete shocker that wedding planning has followed suit. Just as everything else around us has been engulfed by technology, wedding planning has also. You can find practically everything dealing with your wedding planning needs on the Internet. I have known people to get every component of their wedding online, down to their dress, which looked magnificent. Online resources can help with your wedding planning experience and even make it a little easier.
A good resource that I’ve just come across is Facebook. I know, I know, you can’t believe it. But this very popular social networking site has developed a Wedding Planning application called Connected Weddings. You can find the application by searching within Facebook for Connected Weddings. It has planning checklists, forums and discussion boards, as well as information on wedding Websites and how to set them up. It also has amazing pictures of everything wedding, from attire, flowers, favors and more. It even has a section on Married Life so that once you’ve gotten married you don’t feel like all of the fun has come to a halt.
There is also My Wedding Hero, an online wedding planning software program. You can purchase a subscription and then monitor and update your guests, tagging each guest with different categories that apply to them without having to make several different lists. Let’s say you have Guest A, who is attending, seated at table three, who’s chosen the chicken entrée, and who needs hotel accommodations. Instead of having to generate four separate lists, you just enter them once, tag them for all four things, and voila! You have four separate lists generated at one time. This can be done for all of your guests.
Also, unlike other programs where you are the only one allowed in the software at any give time, My Wedding Hero also allows you to bring whoever you want into the system and allow them to see what you have been doing. This is especially great for those who are planning a wedding without parents, friends or bridesmaids near. Everyone helping can go into the program and communicate about the wedding planning details. Visit www.MyWeddingHero.com for a free five day trial.
Another great resource is YouTube. They have videos on different wedding planning topics and many are great. A lot of vendors post informational videos on YouTube as marketing tools. For a couple planning a wedding, these can be invaluable, especially for those DIY (Do-It-Yourself) brides who are doing everything themselves.
Have fun surfing the Internet and planning your wedding!
