Ebony Jones will soon celebrate her first year working for Regus Business Center, 6802 Paragon Place, Richmond. Her supervisors may enjoy a celebration of their own. The cheer and efficiency that Ms. Jones brings to her position as a Client Services Representative (CSR) are coveted qualities that have recently advanced the stylish New York native through several personal and professional goals. Last summer, Jones graduated Katherine Gibbs School in New York City and moved to Richmond soon after, when hired by Regus. Today she works a full schedule, assisting with all aspects of the Center’s operations, including sales and marketing. Regus is a national company providing office space and services for various types of businesses. Responding to the needs of so many different clients can present challenges. But Jones’ positive attitude helps her meet them. “I love the clients. I love interacting with other people,” she says. “That’s the fun part. I couldn’t be behind a desk all day.”
“She always has a smile on her face. I can always count on her,” says Paul Spellman, General Manager. “She thinks about everyone else before she thinks about herself. She’s looking out for you. She’s reliable and dependable.”
Jones commutes from Chesterfield, where she lives with her two daughters, Essence, 11, and Erykah, 8. When she has free time, Ebony spends as much time as she can with her children. “They love roller coasters. We love going to King’s Dominion.” While the family adjusts to life in Richmond, they’re finding plenty to do. “We’re still new to the Richmond area,” she admits. “We used to go bowling, go to the pool. They love to eat at Famous Dave’s, and Red Lobster are their favorite places. So we’ll go on date.” Her professional goals include advancing to Operations Manager within a year. Her manager, Paul Spellman looks forward to her promotion and says, “She deserves it. I agree a hundred percent.”
