According to the American Heart Association, CVD is the number one killer of all women with minority women facing the highest risk of death. CVD is not just one specific disease. It is a term technically referring to any disease that affects the cardiovascular system. Please go see your doctor immediately if you have symptoms such as high blood pressure, chest pain or discomfort, pain in the arms, shoulder, neck, jaw, back or shortness of breath.
