Ten area women have been selected as the YWCA of Richmond’s 30th Annual Outstanding Women Awards honorees. This year’s winners are True Farr Luck (Visual Arts Center of Richmond), Margaret E. “Lyn” McDermid (Dominion Resources), Susan J. Winiecki (Richmond Magazine), Sue Forbes Watson (Hanover County School Board), Susan F. Dewey (Virginia Housing Development Authority), Patricia Neyland Reams, MD (Fan Free Clinic, Access Now), Karen J. Stanley (CARITAS, The Healing Place), Catherine “Kate” M. Marriott (Williams Mullen), Diane Ager (CrossOver Ministry) and Pamela J. Royal, MD (United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg).
The honorees will be formally recognized at the YWCA of Richmond’s 30th Annual Outstanding Women Awards Luncheon, 11:30 am on Friday, April 23 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Tickets are $50 and must be purchased in advance online at www.ywcarichmond.org or by calling 643-6761 x116. Since 1980, the YWCA has honored nearly 300 women with the Outstanding Women Awards. This year’s winners were selected from over 80 nominees, based on their impact on the community, their leadership skills, a high level of personal and professional achievement, and commitment to equality and racial harmony.
