With emerging research that suggests getting a good night’s sleep can help avoid certain diseases, including diabetes, it’s important to do everything in your power to sleep as well as you can.
Sleeping well can help you avoid stress and get through your day easier. With a few easy tips, your quality of life will improve and in some cases, your likelihood of certain diseases will decrease.
From Fitsugar’s list:
1. Use blinds to block out light to fall asleep, but don’t use blinds that block our natural sunlight. Without the natural light, your body’s clock will become confused.
2. Don’t go to bed stressed out or worried. You’ll get a more restful sleep if you aren’t worrying about the next day. Try writing in a journal before you go to bed to help unwind.
3. Avoid using the snooze button in the morning. Instead, just set your alarm for later. You’re not getting quality sleep because it is constantly interrupted by the alarm sound.
