With July 4 this Thursday, many will be visiting a family for friend’s cook out or having their own to celebrate America’s independence. Martin’s has offered a cheap, health, and delicious alternative to the traditional cheese burger featured at most cookouts. Check out their recipe for a pineapple turkey burger below.
Teriyaki Pineapple Turkey Sliders
Prepare these turkey sliders accompanied by a savory teriyaki glaze and a sweet pineapple topper. Grill corn on the cob and serve with a garden salad.
|Makes eight 1 slider servings • Prep time: 10 minutes • Cook time: 10 minutes|
Drain pineapple and reserve 1/3 cup of juice. In a small bowl stir together reserved pineapple juice with teriyaki sauce. In a large bowl, mix together turkey, ginger, garlic, egg, bread crumbs and 2 tablespoons of the teriyaki mixture. Shape into eight patties. Grill patties, brushing with remaining teriyaki mixture, until desired doneness. Place 8 pineapple slices on grill and cook until lightly golden brown. Serve sliders on buns with grilled pineapple.
