However, according to a 2007 New York Times study dark meat contains more iron, zinc, riboflavin, thiamine and vitamins B6 and B12. The difference really isn’t that much and while white meat is proven to be healthier than dark meat, researchers say it wouldn’t hurt to eat dark meat here and there. It’s all about serving sizes. So, no need to stress this Thanksgiving over what part of the turkey to eat from, just enjoy the holiday.
