
KLM Scholarship Foundation 2016-2017 Scholarship Recipients
The KLM Scholarship Foundation hosted its 2016 Book Scholarship Awards Ceremony at Linwood Holton Elementary School Saturday, viagra 40mg August 6, search 2016. Book scholarship awards, pharm totaling $34,100, were presented to 33 students from across Virginia and Maryland. Selected students will attend 15 Virginia colleges in the fall. Each scholar has excelled academically, maintaining a 3.0 GPA or better, while demonstrating exceptional community leadership qualities. The awards ceremony was held at 3 o’clock and featured a special guest speaker Cory Mosley, President of Cory Mosley Communications.
Since November 2002, the foundation has awarded book scholarships totaling $184,100. In recognition of their support, several organizations were honored with Named Scholarships during the event such as East End Pediatrics, Lowe’s, Nationwide, PadillaCRT, Radio One, UPS and the Virginia Lottery.
The non-profit’s Book Scholarship Program has served as a trusted resource for many Virginia college students facing financial challenges for almost 14 years. It has rapidly grown in popularity because of its positive impact. According to Founder Kimberley L. Martin, “It’s our way of alleviating the cost of expensive textbooks for our students. We want to do our part to reduce student debt.”
The KLM Scholarship Foundation is a small non-profit 501(C)(3) run solely by volunteers. It relies heavily upon the support and generosity of the community and corporate sponsors to help students afford college. Donations are 100% tax deductible and accepted online at www.KLMFoundation.org.
